DAY1 - Part5: Laoag-Pagudpud-Vigan Tour - Fort Ilocandia Resort

DAY 1: (April 30, 2013- Tuesday)
Airport, Hotel, Marcos Mausoleum/Museum, Batac Church, Paoay Church, Paoay Lake, Sand Dunes, Fort Ilocandia, back to Laoag City, Hotel

From PAOAY SAND DUNES, our next stop was at FORT ILOCANDIA.

Travel time from Sand Dunes to Fort Ilocandia: 15 mins. or so on board the tricycle that we hired.

Honestly, I was praying while we are traveling because it's getting real dark already. The place is kinda isolated with no houses in sight so it gave me some fear for while. Thankfully, we arrived at Fort Ilocandia at 6:35 pm.

FORT ILOCANDIA Resort and Casino is a 5-star hotel located at Laoag, Ilocos Norte. It's a 77 hectares of land , has golf course and casino. It is said that Fort Ilocandia was built by former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos just in time for his daughter Irene Marcos' wedding to Greggy Araneta in 1983. It is where the reception was held and accommodated their guests.Fort Ilocandia Resort Laoag, Ilocos Norte Fort Ilocandia Resort Laoag, Ilocos Norte
The hotel was simply beautiful!. It has Spanish architecture with red brick walls. Too bad, we only stayed there for 15 mins. because I wanted to be back in Laoag City before it really gets too dark.

Thank God, we safely arrived in Laoag City at 7:10 pm. Travel time from Fort Ilocandia to Laoag City =20-25 mins. Gave our driver extra P50.00 for being nice and patient waiting for us.

Had dinner afterwards at Chowking at Laoag City. Wanted to try local Ilocano cuisine but we are so hurry already trying to figure out where to dine so we just opted for Chowking.
